Objectives:
The purpose of the celebration was to raise awareness about the Use of Scoups for Research and Publication in the Digital era with AI Technology.
Detailed report of the program
•The program was organized in the campus of Manipal Tata Medical College for the National Librarian’s Day. It was held on 12/08/2024.
•The National Librarian’s Day program was started by Event coordinator Ms. Swetanka Prasad, from Biochemistry Department, MTMC with a welcome address.
•After the welcome address, Mrs. Rashmi Singh, from the library department, MTMC, gave a short speech on National Librarian’s Day and Paying respect to Dr. S.R. Ranganathan.
•Following that, officiating Dean talked about National Librarian's Day.
•The Guest speaker for this event were Mr. Premaraj Mishra (Area Manager, Information Services, Learning and Development, Tata Steel Ltd).
•After that Officiating Dean, MTMC welcome to the Chief Guest., Mr. Premaraj Mishra, delivered a talk on the topic "Search is not just a box: Strategies to discover Literature with the Use of Scopus AI."
•Following the guest talk, Dr. Vijay Kautaliya, the Officiating Dean, along with Vinay AV, Associate Dean Preclinical Professor and Head, and Sameer Wooly, Associate Dean, felicitated the guest speaker.
•After that the Best Library User Award was given to the students of MBBS and AHS.
•At the end of the programme Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Ranjit Hegde, Librarian MTMC.
